Congratulations to Troop 17 scouts for being featured on the national BSA instagram pages! You can see the post on our page and the shared BSA pages at the links below: https://www.instagram.com/boyscoutsofamerica/ https://www.instagram.com/scoutshopbsa/ https://www.instagram.com/troop17/ Tonight is the first session for EAGLE REQUIRED Personal Management merit badge taught by emeritus scoutmaster Mr. Virden. The class will start at 6:45pm tonight in the scout lodge. You must be at least fourteen years old and have earned the rank of 1st class to participate. This class is highly recommended for all scouts who meet the age and rank requirements. On the topic of rank advancements... Troop 17 will host the Fall 2023 Court of Honor next Tuesday 9/26 inside St. Stephens Parish Hall. Invite your whole family to attend as we recognize your hard work and achievements over the year. Finally, for tonight meeting we will be learning about the BSA buddy system and BALLSPDQ method for setting up a safe swim area. These are both important tools to keep scouts safe on the water. This will be especially relevant at our next adventure October 6th - 8th when we venture out to Camp Broadway for our Nautical Toys campout.
